Who's Sitting At Your Table?

#wisdom I loved the message behind this image! "Not everyone deserves a seat at the table of your life. Choose wisely"!

I often find as I speak to so many women and they are trying to please everyone in their lives. That they are trying to make everyone happy and even having this desire for the people around them to 'like' them... I trust you can understand what I am saying here!

Not everyone that you have in your life - even family (I know this can be difficult for some), will understand your journey, your desires or understand you and that's perfectly OK!

I recall a time that I realized I walk differently throughout this life when my one of my sisters (I have 4) partners said in a passing comment "It's always about Mandy isn't it"? As I was preparing myself to head off to India for my yoga teacher training. And yes it absolutely is! At the time i was leaving my 2 boys with my sister and my Mum (their Dad ended up showing up for them also which was great for them considering it had been over 3 years since they'd seen him), but what most people never realize is this:

1. As you become a better person for yourself, by default the people that are in your life on a deep level will also become better. (Don't be attached to better or worse, be attached to growing through personal development, books, seminars etc). I was doing this for my children essentially as I knew the rewards that would come from this next step in our journey!

2. Be very mindful (not judge), of who is feeding you the advice, as they may not be living a life by the standards you admire or see as healthy, but listen to what they says as a chance to grow. See these people are just a reflection of yourself and provide a space for you to grow and learn and become amazing, so just love them! They allow you to question your belief in yourself and reveal the weak points that offer you the most growth!

3. If there are people in your life right now that are sitting at your table and they do not offer you growth, love or support, ask right now that the lessons that you need to learn from these people be revealed and when the lesson is learnt you are making way for new people to sit at your table and trust me those people will find lessons else where also!

I know I've done this many times and when I do, the most amazing beautiful people show up... and i trust as you're reading this YOU ARE ONE OF THEM xo
